We love weddings at Great American Country! As a new year begins, here’s a look back at some of the country stars who were engaged or married in 2014:
Jana Kramer celebrated her 31st birthday by saying “yes” to boyfriend Michael Caussin, a professional football player. Caussin gathered a group of Kramer’s family and friends to surprise Kramer with the marriage proposal.
Brantley Gilbert proposed to Amber Cochran, a schoolteacher from his hometown, in October. Gilbert calls Cochran “the one who got away” and admits that a number of his songs, including “More Than Miles” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” are about her. The couple plan to wed in June 2015.

Jerrod Niemann and his new wife, Morgan Petek, were married on Sunday, October 12 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The ceremony was held at sunset in Castillo de San Cristobal, a historic Spanish fort that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Instead of wedding gifts, the couple asked that donations be made to Niemann’s nonprofit, Free the Music USA.
Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard proposed to longtime girlfriend Hayley Stommel in September. The couple got engaged during a romantic helicopter ride. Hubbard posted a photo on Instagram of the couple celebrating with champagne aboard the chopper.
Jason Aldean popped the question to girlfriend Brittany Kerr in September. After she said “Yes!, the couple celebrated with a private tour of a California zoo. They haven’t revealed a wedding date, but are planning a big ceremony.

Canaan Smith married longtime girlfriend Christy Hardesty over Labor Day weekend. The pair tied the knot on the front steps of The Mansion in Columbus, Ohio. Canaan proposed to Hardesty in March 2014 and broke the news of their marriage via social media.
Love and Theft’s Stephen Barker Liles married fiancee Jenna Michelle Kennedy on Sunday, August 24 at the Ruby, a boutique events center in Nashville. Liles proposed to Kennedy in May 2013 and they welcomed a son, Jett, in December 2013.
The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry married professional baseball player J.P. Arencibia at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, Tenn., on June 12. The couple held their reception at Perry’s parents’ home, which is also where Arencibia proposed. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, and Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were among their guests.
Dee Jay Silver, known for his county dance mix of country tracks and an in-demand touring deejay for the likes of Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley, proposed to girlfriend Jenna Michelle Straub on February 27 while on Paisley’s Beat This Winter Tour in Fort Wayne, Ind.
